Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?
You can reserve work spots via this website. You can choose based on what you want to do (e.g. photography, textile) or where you want to work (e.g. De Wasserij, Makerdam). Once you have made a choice, you will need to log in to continuous.
What is a screening?
The first time you want to use facilities, tools, equipment and such, you will need to be signed up by the workshop manager. In some cases, you will need to take a short course first: after all, not everyone knows how to use a screen printing press. Once you've shown that you can do it, you can then reserve that work spot whenever you want (conditional on availability). You will be charged a one-time fee for such a course, which may vary depending on the workshop. For further information, please contact the workshop concerned.
How to book?
You can check the availability of the work spot on the website. Once you have reserved a time by clicking on it, you are taken to the checkout page to pay. After the payment has been processed, you can show up at the studio at the time you reserved.
Can I start working even if I don't have experience?
Yes, you can. But in certain cases, you will first have to take an introductory course. This varies depending on the machine you want to use. Once the workshop manager has given the okay, you can reserve and work with that machine whenever you want from then on.
Can I make reservations at any time?
You can reserve any time during the opening hours of the building. This may vary per location. The available hours can be found on this website.
Can I get a discount or a subscription?
Of course you may want to use a place or a machine more than once. In which case it would be nice to get a bit of a discount, right? Well, you can. If you make 10 reservations, you get one reservation for free: that's a discount of 10%. Interested? Send an email to SKARspace.
I am leasing an atelier through SKAR. Do I get a discount in that case?
